Murchison Meteorite Thin Section
Shown here in cross polarized light is a thin section of the Murchison Meteorite. This popular and well studied named fall contains an abundance of water and also some unique amino acids. Due to its large mass, it has given scientists a rich amount of information on comets and the outer solar system.
