NWA 1950, a poikilitic shergottite, is a Martian treasure for meteorite collectors. The two thin sections presented in this post are stunningly beautiful and were a real joy to photograph. I hope viewers find them visually stimulating. Many of the darkened olivine grains look remarkably similar to those found in NWA 2737; both were formed from high pressure shocks related to the ejecting event. Image One was taken with 4x/0.25 objective while Image Two was taken with 10x/0.25 objective. Additional information:
