NWA 4460 Meteorite Thin Section
Northwest Africa 4460 is a cool looking L3 chondrite without much description in the bulletin. It does make a nice photography target and the images I took turned out surprisingly well. The scattered black inclusions are especially worth exploring.

NWA 10690 Meteorite Thin Section
This thin section of NWA 10690 gives a unique view of the transformations and processes occurring in ancient times. Within the large grains of similar color can be found smaller grains of various colors, shapes, and sizes which imply internal changes occurring within the source body. Paired with NWA 7030, it belongs to the LL7 class of meteorites, contains sanidine (on Earth found in felsic volcanic rocks like obsidian), and gives the impression of being a fascinating sample from the early solar system. NWA 2364 Meteorite Thin Section
Thin section of NWA 2364. The matrix is very dark, an attribute of its carbonaceous composition. It contains some nice CAIs and chondrules. Readers should recall that some of this meteorite’s CAIs are the oldest dated matter in the solar system.
